From Concept to Reality
The Duke Accent Chair is inspired by the original Duke Chair, a classic piece known for its industrial style, featuring a faux leather upholstered seat and sturdy metal legs. My design task was to translate this signature aesthetic into an accent chair, maintaining its bold, structural presence while enhancing comfort and versatility.
To achieve this, I refined the proportions, introduced a more relaxed silhouette, and incorporated padded armrests for a softer, more inviting feel. The result is a chair that preserves the industrial character of the Duke series while adapting to a wider range of interiors.
